GSM Roaming for Voice over IP

TriaGnoSys, in partnership with Skuku, has developed a software for VoIP that allows passengers to receive their GSM calls and SMS. To use the service, passengers simply insert their own SIM card into a card reader.

Passenger applications:

  • Making and receiving voice calls using:
    • softphone
    • seat-back phone
    • Inmarsat and Iridium satellite phones
  • Sending and receiving SMS messages using the IFE screen
  • Passengers continue to use their mobile number and contacts list
  • Payment is through passenger’s regular mobile phone bills
  • Cost of calls and messages commensurate with national rates, not roaming rates
